General blood test is performed through hematology analyzer with 25 hematological parameters “Cell-Dyn 3700” (produced by American Company “Abbott”). There is only one, a completely automated modular system “cobas 6000” within Transcaucasia, designed to test quantitative and qualitative values of biochemical and immunological parameters of various biological fluids. Haemostasis is tested by the analyzer “start 4” produced by Roche, which enables a possibility of performing tests of other factors of haemostasis system parallel to basic tests. Bacteriological tests are performed by using the analyzer “Vitek 2” produced by “BioMerieux” which identifies any microorganism from any biological material and determines sensitivity toward antibiotics with the highest possible precision. Histopathological diagnostics of operational and biopsy material is performed by employing modern equipments and technologies. Immunohystochemical method is employed to precisely identify tissues. Molecular diagnostics are performed based on the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method, which enables the possibility to diagnose bacterial and viral infections precisely and at an early stage. The advantage of this method is its high sensitivity (90%-100%), high specificity and its velocity. Material for cytological tests is obtained either via conventional or via aimed puncture (under echoscopic control).
